Anush Aleksanyan

Adult psychologist (counsellor-psychotherapist), educational psychologist, works with individuals, couples and families. Founding director, experience: 18 years.

In 2006, Anush graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, Department of Psychology with a Master's degree. She has been practicing as a psychologist since 2005. She is an expert in a number of educational fields, a trainer of trainers in psychology, healthy lifestyle, sex education, inclusive education, preschool education, gender issues, etc. Professional interests are anxiety disorders among adults and children, parent counselling, education and the latest teaching methods, trainings, inclusive education.
She is the author and co-author of a number of manuals, programs and articles, professional editor of a university textbook.
She is a member of EMDR Psychotherapists Association of Armenia. In December 2022, she has received the title of EMDR Certified Psychotherapist from EMDR Europe.
Anush is the vice-president of "The Armenian Mental Health Association".

Maria Babayan

Adult psychologist, psychotherapist, experience: 10 years.

In 2008, Maria graduated from YSU, Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, Department of Clinical Psychology with a Master’s degree. After graduation, she completed several courses in cognitive-behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy and other professional trainings. Since 2020, she has been specializing as Jungian analyst and is a member of Armenian Association of Analytical Psychology (AAAP).
She began her professional career as a child therapist, working with children with CP (cerebral palsy), then worked as a school psychologist, after which she worked as a therapist in the social sphere.
The psychological problems that Maria works with include psychological traumas, anxiety disorders - panic attacks, obsessions, compulsions, as well as relationship problems, depression, emotional burn-out, loss of meaning in life, psychosomatic problems etc.
Maria has been working in "Yerkusov" since 2020.

Anet Shamirian

Adult psychologist, psychotherapist, experience: 7 years.

In 2007, Anet graduated from YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, Department of Psychology with a Master's degree. She started her professional career in 2016.
Has attended a number of training courses and workshops. Specifically in 2022-2023 “Practical course of Gestalt therapy with personality disorders” 3 levels.
In 2021, Anet received certificate of “EMDR levels I and II courses” from the Armenian EMDR Psychotherapists Association and the European EMDR Psychotherapists Association.
In 2021,she attended the “Existential Psychotherapy training course” which was organized by the YSU Applied Psychology Centre. Is qualified as an existential psychotherapist.
Has experience working with clients suffering from PTSD, domestic and sexual abuse survivors, anxiety disorders and fears, sexual orientation and gender identity cases, grief and loss, suicide and self-harm cases, interpersonal and intrapersonal relations.
Is fluent in English, Armenian, and Persian and is comfortable working with clients from different cultures.
Anet has joined "Yerkusov" in 2021.

Lusine Gharibyan

Psychologist-counsellor, psychotherapist working with adults: experience: 11 years

In 2012 she graduated from the National Academy of Sciences RA, International Scientific Education Center, Department of Psychology. Has a Master's Degree.
Lusine began her career in 2012, working with patients with chronic illnesses and disabilities, cases of domestic violence, people with sexual orientation and gender identity issues, dealing with issues of overcoming psychological traumas, acute stress, disorders and borderline personality disorders, as well as prevention of professional emotional burnout of medical personnel and social workers.

Lusine has completed many professional training courses: "CBT- Cognitive Behavioral therapy", "Gestalt Therapy", "Gestalt approach to Borderline Personality Adaptations”, “Dealing with Trauma”, "Preventing Suicidal Risks" etc.
In 2015-2021 she was an active member and participated in the "Balint movement" supervision groups (YSU, Center of Applied Psychology).
Lusine is now an active member of "The American Psychological Association" and "The Armenian Mental Health Association".
Professional interests are: personal well-being, self-esteem and self-confidence, psycho-sexual issues, psychological trauma, conflicts and misunderstandings in interpersonal relationships, burnout issues in workplace.
She also has scientific articles in the field of clinical and rehabilitation psychology․
Lusine has joined "Erkusov" in 2022.

Ester Babajanyan

Adult and teenage psychologist, experience: 5 years.

In 2006, Ester graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, Department of Psychology with a Master's degree.
In 2002-2008, she worked at the "Manana" child and youth center as a psychologist and trainer for children and adolescents.
She completed music therapy, individual and group psychotherapy, Jungian Analysis and a number of other professional training courses.

In 2008-2014, Ester continued her education at universities in Germany and Austria.
Currently, she is improving her qualifications at the Association of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy in Russia (St. Petersburg) having successfully completed the basic course in 2022. She is a member of this association.

From 2023, Ester is a member of Armenian Association of Mental Health.
Specializes in working with eating disorders among adolescents and adults.
Ester has joined "Yerkusov" in 2021.

Arevik Avagyants

Psychologist working with adults and teenagers, trainer, experience: 5 years

In 2012 she graduated from “Urartu” University of Practical Psychology and Sociology and received Master degree in Psychology. Since 2011, she has participated in a number of projects both in Armenia and abroad as a psychologist; and since 2018, she has been actively engaged in psychotherapy with clients.

Arevik is a certified trainer of “Prevention of professional burnout and vicarious trauma” and “Psychological First Aid” courses. She participated in a number of professional training courses and seminars. In 2019, she completed her First level EMDR basic training. Later in 2021, she completed her Second level EMDR basic training. Since 2019, with almost all of her clients, she has been intensively using the EMDR method, which helps to overcome traumas productively. During these years of practice and application of the EMDR method, she has been actively participating in relevant webinars, workshops, seminars and supervision meetings.
Since 2021, she has also been a member of EMDR Psychotherapists Association of Armenia. And in December 2022, she has received the title of EMDR Certified Psychotherapist from EMDR Europe.
She uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) methods in her psychotherapeutic work.
Within the scope of Arevik’s professional interests are work with traumas։ PTSD, acute stress reactions, war related psychological traumas; obsessive-compulsive disorders; work with anxiety disorders: fears and phobias, panic attacks; work with survivals of violence; interpersonal issues, parental counselling etc.

Working languages: Armenian, Russian, and English. Can also communicate in Italian.
Arevik has joined “Yerkusov” in December 2022.

Varduhi Tigranyan

Psychologist working with adults and adolescents, educational psychologist, trainer, conducting seminars, experience: 15 years

In 2009 Varduhi graduated from YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, department of Psychology with a Master’s degree. She has completed a number of specialized professional training courses: cognitive-behavioral therapy, child psychotherapy, play therapy, the peculiarities of work with fears and aggression, sand therapy etc.
Varduhi is a member of the Armenian Association of Child and Educational Psychologists.
She conducts a number of trainings with teachers, as well as parent counselling, individual and group work with children and teenagers.
Varduhi has joined "Yerkusov" in April 2022.

Aksanna Nersesyan

Psychologist working with children and adolescents, educational psychologist, experience: 7 years

In 2021, Aksanna graduated from YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology in specialization of "Child Psychology and Psychotherapy" and earned a Master's degree.
In 2016, she began working with children with special needs, such as autism, Down syndrome, and other mental development issues.
Aksanna has completed a number of specialized trainings, including applied-behavioral analysis (APA), child psychotherapy, play therapy, dance/movement therapy, primary psychological support, family crisis intervention etc.
In the course of her work, she provides parent counselling, individual and group psychotherapy to children and teenagers.
Aksanna has joined "Yerkusov" in January 2023.

Gohar Barkhudaryan

Child and adolescent psychologist, conducting group works and seminars; experience: 13 years.

In 2008 Gohar graduated from Armenian State Pedagogical University, Department of Psychology and Pedagogy with a Bachelor's degree. She has begun her professional practice since 2009.
In 2015 graduated from the National Academy of Sciences RA with a Master’s degree. She completed many professional courses particularly in the sphere of child psychotherapy and art-therapy. She conducts group works, seminars and parent counselling.
Professional interests are panic disorders, fears, phobias, autism, work with children with communication difficulties etc.
Gohar has been working in "Yerkusov" since 2020.

Lala Petrosyan

Child psychologist, conducting group works and seminars; experience: 10 years.

In 2011, Lala graduated from the Yerevan University after M. Mashtots, faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Department of Psychology. In 2013, she graduated from the National Academy of Sciences of the RA, International Scientific Educational Center, Department of Psychology. Has a Master’s degree.

Lala completed a number of professional training courses, particularly in the field of child psychotherapy.
Professional interests are the followings: working with children with fears, anxiety, autism, communication difficulties, ADHD.
Conducts parents counselling, leads developmental and therapeutic groups.
Lala has begun working with the “Yerkusov” team since 2013.

Nelli Arutyunova

Speech therapist, work experience: 8 years․

In 2015, Nelli graduated from Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh.Abovyan,
Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Special Education, Department of Speech Therapy with a Master’s degree.

Nelly completed a number of professional training courses. She conducts developing and corrective speech work with people with special needs (autism, mental retardation, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy etc).
Carries out correctional and developmental work with dyslalia, alalia, dysgraphia, dyslexia, delayed speech development, general underdevelopment of speech, etc.
Nelli has joined “Yerkusov” in 2021.

Anna Hosepyan

Speech therapist, behavioral therapist, experience: 11 years․

In 2013, Anna graduated from Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh.Abovyan, Faculty of Special Education, Department of Speech Therapy with a Master's degree.
In 2012, Anna was qualified as a behavioral therapist working with children with autism through the ABA program.
In 2013, she was qualified in working with children with autism using the PECS (Picture Exchange System) method.
Professional interests are: autism, mental retardation, intellectual disability, the effectiveness of the use of speech therapy technologies aimed at developing the speech of children with Asperger's syndrome, the development and implementation of new methods, as well as the organization of various professional seminars and trainings.
Anna has been working in “Yerkusov” since 2015.
